Blackpool Illuminations are on from Friday 30th August 2024 until Monday January 1st 2025 this year. All times listed here.
The lights of Blackpool Illuminations will be switched on at 9pm on Friday 30th August 2024 by a celebrity who will be named near the day, as is the tradition, previous famous faces who have switched on Blackpool Illuminations can be found here.
The switch on concert 2024 will be in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom featuring the band Blue prior to their UK arena tour, the concert is on Friday 30th August.

The 2024 Blackpool Illuminations will be a bumper year with the lights shining for 129 nights and will be on over both Christmas and New Year.
To ensure this year’s event is the most spectacular yet, with a host of new and revamped light displays including Theatre D’Amour, Venus Reborn, Talbot Square and Brilliance, which are all designed to dazzle and delight visitors.
Blackpool lights switch on times vary over the seventeen weeks due to the nights drawing in and the clocks going back one hour at the end of October.

The world-famous Illuminations need little introduction. With six miles of traditional festoons, tableaux and interactive features along the Promenade, no wonder it’s commonly known as the greatest free light show on Earth!
